In 1917 in Fatima, Portugal, Our Lady appeared to three shepherd children: Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia (Sister Lucy). During several apparitions she instructed the children to pray every day, especially the rosary, have devotion to her Immaculate Heart and make sacrifices to atone for the sacriliges commited against God, Who, she said, is much offended. The feast of Our Lady of Fatima is celebrated on May 13th.
