San Damiano Cross

The San Damiano Cross is a reproduction of the original icon cross that presently hangs in Santa Chiarra (St. Claire) Church in Assissi. It was before this cross that St. Francis was praying when he recieved the Commisions from the Lord to "... repair my house which you see is falling completely to ruin."

The cross represents the Franciscan mission to renew and rebuild the Church in the power of God. A detailed explanation of the symbols on the cross is included. Maple, 7.25" high. Can stand or hang on a wall.
