Raphael Angels Drop Earrings

These delightful earrings are part of the Vatican Library Collection.

The inspiration for the framed angel comes from the cherubs seen on the "Sistine Madonna" painting by Raphael. The angel is also referred to as "the wonderer".

An elaborate gold tone filigree flower joins each angel to a delicate sky blue crystal. Earrings measure approximately 1 1/8 inches long from top of crystal to bottom of earring. Earrings are made for pierced ears.
