Rosary with Blue Goldstone Beads and Purple Accents

This is an elegant, heirloom-quality rosary that is suitable for a man or a woman. Flared Crucifix and Madonna centerpiece are hand-cast sterling silver reproductions of antique pieces. A heart surrounded by a crown of thorns appears on the reverse of centerpiece. The Our Father (Pater Noster) beads are 8mm purple cat's eye beads that are hugged by classic pewter endcaps. Tiny purple cat's eye beads are attached on both sides of Our Father's.

The Hail Mary beads are man-made 6mm blue goldstone beads. (See enlarged image below.) Depending on how light strikes the beads, they may appear to be dark blue to black, or deep purple to violet. Copper flecks within the goldstone sparkle like distant stars in the sky giving it the alternate name "stellaria". Goldstone is also referred to as "monks gold" or "monkstone" due to folklore that attributes the discovery and secret of goldstone to an unnamed Italian monastic order.
